The eighth annual Coastal Forces Alumni and Heritage Dinner was held onboard HMS Warrior on Thursday 23 January 2025.
Some 110 current and former Commanding Officers and crew of Coastal Forces craft stretching back to the 1970s were joined by a number of new Friends of Coastal Forces to enjoy pre-dinner drinks at Boathouse No 4, overlooking the fabulous collection of the Royal Navy’s small craft – notably CMB4 and her beautiful replica – and the She Seas Exhibition. Dinner followed on the main gundeck of Warrior, eased along by the HMS Nelson Volunteer Band, some excellent food and wine and an update from Commander Carla Higgins RN on the current activities of the Coastal Forces Squadron. Over port generously sponsored by the Association of Royal Navy Officers, we heard from Rear Admiral James Parkin, Director Develop, on the ‘state of the nation’.
