Join in the PHQ Pontoon Weekend in the Historic Dockyard – they are celebrating HSL 102’s 90th birthday – and come upstairs at Boathouse 4 to hear Martin Kelly and David Griffiths give their fascinating talk on Coastal Motor Boats, John Thornycroft and the origins of fast attack craft.
The talk starts at 2.30pm and its FREE! Why not make a day of it and go to the Boathouse Kitchen for lunch beforehand and tea afterwards?
Earlier in the day, over at the Night Hunters Exhibition at the Explosion Museum at Priddy’s Hard, our Chairman Rear Admiral Rex Cox CB will be giving a talk on the wider Coastal Forces Story – no doubt drawing some interesting parallels with the modern world .
The talk starts at 11.30am and its FREE! Afterwards drop into the Powder Monkey brewery for some light refreshment or visit the Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower.
